What would you highlight about Hostel Awangarda

Heather was either off or not warm enough for the double room

It was too cold inside the room I couldn’t really enjoy being inside especially when the weather is too cold outside. The staff only spoke Polish which made it difficult to communicate. But the location is perfect as it’s close to the heart of the city

Where it is located

Dirty bathroom and messy room. The bed was uncomfortable and broken. The other mates were noisy and we listened every move they did. They were not in the check in desk and we had to wait in the street because they did not pick up the phone.

it is very good ,meet my expectations and more,special location.

i like that is very good locatiin in oldtown and central Poznan,nearby parking lit,many stories and caffes around,Mcdn and Zabka,and homemade dumplings and icecreams.That is very good for my work too,I can easy reach the University.All is ok.Thanks!

The light in the room wasnt enough for my readings,so I must take own lighting.

What would you highlight about Hostel Awangarda

Staff who speaks polish only and not so polite.

Location is strategic.

The staff who only speaks polish was a kind of weird and hot temper. When i took out my phone to use google translate so i can undestand what she said, but she stopped me from using it.. Then she kept talking polish to me forcing me to understand what she said, yet i didn't. At the end, she got fed up herself since I speak only english. Nobody likes this kind of service attitude. Another thing is can this hostel owner provide luggage drop service so to make easier for tourist to put luggage before there are allowed to check in by the noon. Please advise the staff to be polite as well.

The view is pretty

The check in pocess was disaster. There was only one woman working and she only speaks polish. She couldnt even figure out which room we booked with us showing all the info and confirmations from booking. Thankfully there was someone staying who translated for us. The rooms look clean but the linen smelled. The bathrooms are uncomfortable at best. Few shower stalls in one room (stall doors doesnt even lock) and you have to get out naked to get your staff... The street is noisy. The noise didnt stop till 1 or 2 in the morning and i was woken up by garbage tracks just below the window at 7 in the morning. Guys staying here were thrown out of their rooms and moved to other one even tho they had booked and payed in advance. Definitely never coming back here.

Great location and good value for money.

Our door was always open and everyone could have access. Also, I didn’t receive a key for a small locker in the room like the others.

Location

I warned the staff that I would be arriving after midnight. When I arrived, I was met by an unfriendly manager. I was not warned before the payment about penalty for late check-in (20 PLN), he demanded it only after the payment for the number. If I had been warned immediately, I would have found another place. Anyway, I had to pay. The room was very dirty, the carpet was not cleaned for a very long time. Bed linen with stains. In the morning I woke up because someone was smoking in the room and there was nothing to breathe. I complained to the manager, but he did nothing. I was kicked out at 11, not allowing me to charge the phone in the shared room. Would definitely not recommend this place

The receptionist was drinking alcohol and in the night he...

The receptionist was drinking alcohol and in the night he stayed our room as a drunk. Made lots of noice with his friends in the room, like they are guest. Sheets was dirty. Everything wasn't useful. I suggest that you should stay in train station instead of here.

The location of hostel was really good but location...

The location of hostel was really good but location isn't everything.

Hostel was smelling alcohol and foot. Especially my room there was a man . Even staff hadn't known who was he. He had been looking like using some drugs. I could not sleep all night because I could not feel safe. Next time absolutely NO!

The location of the hostel was great and the price too.

The beds shook all the time and when we arrived the beds were occupied with clothes and the room smelled, so not that great. The guy at the reception didn't speak English that well which resulted in several misunderstandings.
